Namaste E, I'm not saying that I came through non duality without fear. When I first started meditation many years ago, I had a non dual experience that scared the shite out of me. Mainly because I wasn't prepared for non-duality. I was a devotee of that unfortunate sai baba at the time and so I thought very much in terms of Saguna, Avatars and all that bollocks. So obvioulsy I was ego dependent to even be a devotee. However with a progression of thought or sadhana one comes to a place where one isn't expecting fear for one lets go so to speak. The problem with relying on teachers absolutely is that most only go as far as the world as it is, or as it is not -----Saguna. Even Ramana and Nisargadatta talk of a Self as a super ego I-I. This plays into all the Iswara devotees and Sakti worshippers etc. However it is supposed to be a step not a full stop. People are afraid to let go of their Gods and Ishtadevatas for they are letting go of their egos for they can only be perceived by egos. The so called formless Sakti-Saguna is of course form and an Ishtadevata. In the end there is only one samadhi the other are just 'States' as the Sufis call them. The only Samahdi is Moksha or complete 'waking up' permanently, the rest are only forms of sushupti or deep sleep..................ONS...--- End forwarded message ---
