Scientist at the University of Florida

connected 25,000 living rat neurons

to an electrode grid and are

teaching the neurons how to

operate a fighter jet simulator.

Would the skies become safer

with rat brains flying our planes?

Welcome to the brave mad world

of the 21st, and maybe the last human

century. :))

One target is to install living computers in unmanned aircraft so that they can

be deployed on missions that are too dangerous for humans because of the risk of

attack or hazardous terrain. They could also be used in remote bomb-clearance

machines. Separately, it is hoped that the research will provide the basis for

developing new drugs to treat brain diseases such as epilepsy, by investigating

what happens when cells stop working together normally.

Looks like another invention to kill each other ...

So next time America will go for a totally automatic war without any troops !
