WE hold these Truths to be self-evident,

a time where i had no witnessing or control (but where are they now?

it's my job to find out)

 

that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness --

 

- Comment: life and liberty are so vast that they hardly make sense

from a nation to another nation or a person to another (my freedom

as a husband to keep my wife prisoner of her duties), but

this 'pursuit of happiness' gives a taste of selfish individual

contentment " a la Henry Thoreau "

 

That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men,

deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed,

 

- Comment: now that's more like it! what we were looking for by

writing this " declaration " is another form of legitimacy of power, a

more modern power based on the illusion that, by serving the

community i make my little self more happy (but what happiness?

ruling on the land of the cherokees or increasing my economic power?)

 

that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these

Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it,

 

- Comment: a govt should be very wary of not destructing the grand

illusions of liberty, life and happiness, but as they lie only into

the realm of language and ideas, propaganda will do just fine.

 

and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such

Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall

seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

 

- Comment: it depends who make these decisions, it seems that as

soon as 1776 democracy was 'decided' in the hands of 20 of 30 men of

power and good families, no more; so let them fit the organization

of the govt to their convenience alright, its never been otherwise

anyway. Note here the word " safety " is launched, now you can

mobilize the crowds most destructive instinct on this one (safety is

the keyword of the little despotic state of Israel who has a

constitutional right to torture prisoners in its name).

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established

should not be changed for light and transient Causes;

 

- Comment: bourgoisie will never take unnecessary risks and to

enforce it the army and the pursuit of gain/land will come in handy.

 

and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more

disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right

themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed.

 

- Comment: so you have a low opinion of the potential to happiness

of mankind, fortunately some better thinkers will solve it for the

benefit of the greater number (by what mean then is the people

brought to approve the decision of a ruling minority? by the very

fact that they can be dragged in shit without complaining all life

long)

 

But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably

the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute

Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such

Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.

 

- Comment: and who gives the signal? who knows where is the bad guy,

and the good guy? who has the power to enforce such coup? in the

hands of whom doeth all this good common political sense rest?

 

Such has been the patient Sufferance of these Colonies; and such is

now the Necessity which constrains them to alter their former

Systems of Government.

 

- Comment: The economic intrests took the right decision at the

right time, Great Britain, like all big empires, like the USSR, was

draining all the best resource of the 'colonies' leaving them with

the worse quality of cane sugar and coffee, we can guess.

 

The History of the present King of Great- Britain is a History of

repeated Injuries and Usurpations, all having in direct Object the

Establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove

this, let Facts be submitted to a candid World.

 

- Comment: and now that *monarchy* is abolished the Presidents of

the US will witness war injustice and massacres in the name of

*liberty* (with the complicity of France who could not care less

about liberty and happiness but wanted to weaken Great Britain at

any cost).
