Guest guest
Have you ever spotted an undercover guru? Probably not. They work for an agency which is the best kept secret on Earth. And yet, they are everywhere, disguised as common folk. You might have known one for years, lived with one. Your very spouse could have been doing this work under your very nose. And you're not the wiser. Sorry! No pun intended. Yes, they are everywhere. Think back! Who gave you the biggest lesson of your life? Did you think she/h was a guru? No, you did not. Even when someone has been working on you for months or years, when you finally get it, you don't think: Wow! This person is a guru. No! You think, he, finally, saw it my way! That's how unrecognized this secret work is. It goes completely unnoticed. Most people who are undercover gurus don't have a clue themselves. Most infants are gurus, until the age of five. Most pain in the ass are gurus some of the time. Look around your life. See if you can spot one. Sarlo is working on a rating system now. The top rating: guru 007. Rate worldwide gurus. hahaha! Someone studied college and to do something interesting starts rating the works of einstein and his friends?? Well if you believe this it is Ok. Maybe Sarlo is a living buddha? I don't know. :0) Do he has only one rating guru web site or he has other? Maybe you could give me some more :0) I would like to take a look. Guest guest
Stefan, very nice: If you accept the whole existence as your guru, everything can be your guru. But the key is your LOVE and SURRENDER to the guru. Without this no real understanding is possible. The question is: Why the people have no learned with the mind then? When you say whole existence as your guru, what do you want say? The objective existence of the forms and egos or the existence of the Self that stands beyond the mind? Whatever needs to be said, will be said, with or without my cooperation. A good example of that is, the power of typos, as used by that which speaks thru us. As illustrated in this recent post: " I weak up by myself after studying for several years and had participated of several philosophies. " No doubt the poster wanted to say that he had awaken by studying, but it came out as telling the truth. The entity who wants to claim being awakened can only be made weaker by studying concepts. That 'state' ( if it can be called even that) can't be owned. So that which uses the entity to speak dwarted that unwise statement. What need is there to advertise such things. Basically what I wanted to say: what counts is not the state of the Guru but the intention of the disciple. Once he is ready to enter the self (as you called it) then everything can become his Guru. Because everything in the objective world is of the Self and pointing to the Self. But as long as he is completely identified with his mind it is better for him to find a real Guru. But even then: love and surrender (of the ego) is the key, without this there cannot be real understanding. But in any case... a real Guru is preferable. Namaste S. Is it not wonderful? All these discussions and speculations, questions and answers, explorations. Blind alley's all. Fear, hope. Perhaps and why not? All of this has been said simply before. It is a rehash and some reworkings. Some fresh language, metaphors, more trickery, same ending. Nothing to worry about. Just encouraging the stick to dig around in the fire until it burns up. No harm in that T. is there? All of the postings are an example of the workings of mind and ego. What better lessons could an ego ask for but see the full blown demonstrations of what can be done with mind. To see what mind and ego can create. See the endless circle of thought that is possible. Is this not enough to drive ego to the precipice. To await the dark fire to burn away the dross. Are these not the tools of the " trickster " that is? Can the number of egos reading the posts of this forum be counted? Recognized? Take a vote. How many egos are reading these posts, please raise your hands? Come on all you lurkers get real. There you see all the hands T.? All the posting is not in vain. It is not in vain. These are here to die in one way or another. Welcome them. Next the assassins. Now, all the ones that are beyond the mind and body raise your hands. Good. See T. there are many here too. Fine agents every one. Doing their work without thought or attachment. Bloody tough bunch they are ready to slice ego's throat without hesitation or to squeeze ego to death with absolute loving embraces, or to lure them to the edge of the pit of no return or some other dastardly method of bringing dissolution. Finally how many are kind of mixed up, beyond in some ways, ego attached in others. Yes. Don't be shy. Good. Wow. We have a great crowd here T. here all kinds. Lovely ones all. If only the assasins were here what would the posts be like? Aha! Not much to say. Or only egos or the hybrids? But it is not always clear which posts are from ego and which from those beyond and which from the mixed up ones and in the what is it doesn't matter. So it is one big happy posting party filled with illuminations, advancements, slow death, regressions, deception, trickery, sadness, bitterness, upset, anger, love hate, disgust, freedom, tolerance, the gunas and all that the mind can produce through a computer and a forum like this. Swamiji is a way to experience Tao in new ways and so giving with Swamiji swells that experience as well as that that occurs with all other expressions. What is the experience of Swamiji? A destroyer of worlds, a dark fire, a strangler, blind trickster, an steel forge, a dagger pit, an upsetter, a great pretender, a gentle rain, a rose with thorns, a merciful God, a funny betrayer, a piece of wood, a woolly cat.....? The experience of Odysseus is a mercurial, kaleidoscopic angel, fearless, gentle but firm movements and bursts of mutable light and wind. It is lovely, pleasant, joyful. Different than Toombaru, a giant tree with roots deep and firmly in the ground and branches close to the trunk, like a fir and the mutable winds of mind make his firm branches wave only little. Things are protected under that tree, that is evergreen. Lovely tree, Toombaru. Odysseus flies quickly around the tree seeing every side it that does not move. It is a beautiful sight and funny because the tree seems to frown. But Odysseus likes to fly and move and Toombaru does not do that being so rooted and big. Maybe the angel resting under that tree and the tree allowing the branches to move in the wind of the angels wings can make two one instead of cat and mouse. Hmmm. So is one experience of Toombaru and Odysseus.

I always thought typos happen if the finger hits the wrong key or leaves one out. But 007 knows of secret powers, he believes in Freud and shows us the real danger. Wrong is wrong. >No doubt the poster wanted to say that he had awaken by studying, >but it came out as telling the truth. No doubt? He said " after studying " , and not " by studying " . But, I see, 007 is using one of his ingenious tricks. But why? No doubt, he wants to discriminate this person. This is not ejust " critisizing " , it is character assassination. Or could it be, that this mysthical power that " reads " through Petes eyes has misread that phrase? No, I understand now, this must be the adequate means to keep our club clean. >The entity who wants to claim >being awakened can only be made weaker by studying concepts. >That 'state' ( if it can be called even that) can't be owned. So that >which uses the entity to speak dwarted that unwise statement. What means " dwart " ? It does not matter, I got the meaning. This mystical power behind this poor fellow is so wonderful, that it shows to us all - thanks to the cooperation of Pete - how weak and phony this unnamed person is. The fact, that the man has said, that he woke up *AFTER* he has studied does not play any role. He typed " weak " and " weak " is bad and stupid... we want only STRONG people in this club, like 007. We also dont want anybody who " critisizes " the strong guys. I hope that nobody misunderstands my posting, I am 100% with you guys. We have to keep the club clean. >What need is there to advertise such things. Everyone that has >eyes can see the sun, and no amount of boasting will turn night into >day. Exactly. But only those who have eyes can see the light. Most of us are half blind. Thats how it goes. Greetings S.
Guest guest
Stefan good answer, but... The mission of Guru is look for disciples that is a hard work, because the people in general want to reward the senses, and who reward the sense without understand them is a slavery of them, and is very difficult a disciple look for a guru. The Guru has the mission of teach how the disciple go out of this vicious circle, but it is very, very difficult even when the disciple decide follow the guru, because the world always say NO. For every place that you look, the world say NO. If you say I am a Swami from the Advaita´s philosophy, " discernment´s philosophy " and I do not want of anybody, no money, no help, only teach to you, the world say always NO and NO. And when is that the disciple is ready? In majority when the disciple is old, sick, weak and without hopping; only in this way that the majority of disciple look for a guru, then an ask to myself: is it to be ready? Only when the disciple be old, sick, weak and without hopping? No. It has no more conditions to learn and after to be liberate, because there are a big difference between be illuminated and liberated. Illuminated is have all knowledge about the mind " intellectualism " only, and liberated is have all knowledge about the mind and stand beyond mind. How is possible once the disciple is ready to enter the self (as you called it) then everything can become his Guru, if everything is the same things that the world say every, NO? Then the mission of guru is look for disciples and his quality is patience and piece. Think about, Swami Nirgunananda Namastê Nirgunananda - Stefan Nisargadatta Wednesday, December 29, 2004 7:04 PM Re: The Undercover Guru Nisargadatta , " Nirgunananda " <nirgunananda@t...> wrote: >The question is: >Why the people have no learned with the mind then? >When you say whole existence as your guru, what do you want say? The >objective existence of the forms and egos or the existence of the Self >that stands beyond the mind? Thank you for this good question. Maybe the > angel resting under that tree and the tree allowing the branches to move in the wind of the angels wings can make two one instead of cat and mouse. Hmmm. Odysseus: Toombaru, I already told him that I like him. We have the same mother! He didn't tell you? And yes i'm always on his branches and I like to fly. But as always he sleeps all the time. When I talk to him it takes years before he answers! ha ha ha! *****************************************************
