Guest guest
There is a lack present in all of us as subjects. The drama consists in having to *accept the lack* in the (m) other and having to realize that no human being, no subject, can have or be that which can fill the lack in oneself. (often sent twice we can read the nervousness and feverishness of your delicate finger on the " return " key). No interface to the world you'd be in an inner prison of panic, i wonder if you really know what meditation or silence is about?

Is the subject...the self... ever able to get a good enough look at its self to draw any valid conclusions? Accepting that one is lacking........adds to the credability that one has its very own existential reality.....albeit " lacking " . The whole innate original sin concept originates within the feeling of incompleteness... t.

Exactly the opposite, that's why I wrote complementarity is an illusion. Desire is constitutive to the perception of lack. > Is the subject...the self... ever able to get a good enough look atits self to draw any valid conclusions? Never, in my opinion. But this doesn't mean the inquiry in " Who am I " is a meaningless undertaking, quite again, the opposite. > Accepting that one is lacking........adds to the credability that one has its very own existential reality.....albeit " lacking " . Yes, there is a " subjective reality " inhabitating the register of the Imaginery. But even this register can't be seen isolated from the Real and Symbolic. What's your definition on " existential reality " , Toombaru? > The whole innate original sin concept originates within the feeling of incompleteness... civilization and culture, too! rgds Kip Almazy

But this doesn't mean the inquiry in " Who am > I " is a meaningless undertaking, quite again, the opposite. The very most that one can hope for in the " Who am I " koan...is a mental overload and shut down...... The question itself assumes the existence of someone or something looking..... and someone or something looked for. The question itself creates the apparent separation...and then seeks to resolve it. Like all questions concerning concepts.....it is circular...and self-conatined. > > > > Accepting that one is lacking........adds to the credability that > one has its very own existential reality.....albeit " lacking " . > > > Yes, there is a " subjective reality " inhabitating the register of > the Imaginery. There appears to be a physical world....a tangible ..touchable....thingness. Although " things " are accessable to mind only as conceptual constructs....river....mountains....waves.....fists and laps........this " world " can apparently become part of consensus reality... The other " world " that the mind in humans inhabit consists entirely if its own fantasy......it is populated with " things " like gods...demons......enlightenment......nirvana...after- life......etc. This world is commonly called the " dream " When mind weaves the physical world and the dream world into a garment......the illusory self emerges...wiggles for a while.....and then disappears forever...... (Well that's what this illusory self believes at this time........LOL) toombaru > > > > The whole innate original sin concept originates within the > feeling of incompleteness... > > > civilization and culture, too! > > > > rgds > Kip Almazy
