Guest guest
When asked about his addiction to cigarettes, Nisargadatta shrugged his shoulders and said: " The body likes them " . Wayne Liquorman still attends Alcoholics Anonomous meetings. A well known Zen patriarch recently died of aids. The sexual excesses of many sages are well documented. The only difference between sages and seekeres is that within the sage the self-referential feedback loop.... and the resulting shame and guilt....is broken and the sage no longer identifies with the actions that occur through the body-mind. Addiction is a given with all body-minds.........Identification with addiction......is not. toombaru
Guest guest
Hi toomb, A nice message you bring to us. I like it. Hopefully I can manage to stop smoking before I will become a sage Werner Nisargadatta , " toombaru2004 " <cptc@w...> wrote: > > When asked about his addiction to cigarettes, Nisargadatta shrugged his > shoulders and said: > " The body likes them " . > > Wayne Liquorman still attends Alcoholics Anonomous meetings. > > A well known Zen patriarch recently died of aids. > > The sexual excesses of many sages are well documented. > > The only difference between sages and seekeres is that within the sage the > self-referential feedback loop.... and the resulting shame and guilt....is > broken and the sage no longer identifies with the actions that occur through the > body-mind. > > Addiction is a given with all body-minds.........Identification with > addiction......is not. > > > toombaru

Guest guest
Yes. It is this way. For the liberated man the mind/body is the mind/body only. The difference is that he knows that is the mind/body, and who is not liberate do not know, he thinks that he is the mind/body.
