Arjuna did not 'hate' the enemy. Jesus, who attacked the merchants at the temple felt no hate either. I'm attacking what I preceive to be attcked wihout feeling any hate, or remorse. Attack happens. Hate is a dark feeling. era, yes, you are right. note that I didn't say the all-encompassing love includes 'hate', just that it included those people whom we 'hate' in the dualistic world. the all encompassing love does not distinguish between those whom we love (in duality) and those whom we hate (in duality). and this all-encompassing love can only exist when we see all beings equally - as One...with absolutely NO distinction make sense? clay > > > > > > this love is without the 'desires' and 'attachments' > > for/to those we 'love' in the dualistic world. > > > > this love knows not 'passion' for one above all others. > > > > this love includes your mother and your sibling. > > this love includes the rapist and the victim. > > this love includes the murderer and the nun. > > > > yes, this love is nothing like our dualistic view of love. > > > > enjoy, > > clay > > love, Era > > > . Guest guest
Whatever we identify ourselves with should be thrown away. All- embracing love is all that remains after we do this. To embrace our " enemies " and love them means to have no enemies.
