Guest guest
When the apes left the trees, and the hair left the apes, grooming - which was and still is the primary glue holding their troupes together - needed replacement, and that replacement ushered-in the development of certain areas of the brain, namely the cortex and frontal lobes, which resulted some time later in " human consciousness " , and about 15 minutes later in " gossip " . People don't groom each other any more, but not because there is no more need - that hairless apes have fewer bug-infestation problems - but because it has been replaced by something more sophisticated, gossip. Gossip does for the human-groups what grooming does for the monkey-groups. Now, don't lessen the potential impact of this proposition, by only believing the negatively-tinged definition of gossip is the only definition. To wit: ---Gossip--- -Rumor or talk of a personal, sensational, or intimate nature. -A person who habitually spreads intimate or private rumors or facts. -Trivial, chatty talk or writing. Now that civilized mankind's basic survival needs are virtually assured, he has loads and loads of free time, in which his brain can now spend hours and hours, thinking about himself, thinking about other people, and offering up his opinions, theories, suppositions, and ordinary gossip, whenever and wherever his little (being the keyword here) brain chooses to do so. But, it's doing it for one reason only - to establish position within a presumed group, which he has become mechanically part of, through no conscious participation on his part - that is, his brain made him do that as well. Gossip is good; gossip is fun; gossip is the hallmark of little brains with nothing more going on, in there, than the wish to be part of the herd. Please tell me what and where is the better part of the herd and where are the fringes, so that a move can be made, if required. Please be so kind as to point that which is spoken of. Where did the impossibilities of getting out of the herd come from? If the reference is to the forum herd, if there is such a thing, then the feature should take care of that quite handily. No impossibility there. If the reference is something else please clarify so the statement will be comprehensible. Thank you.

Well, ahem, you have not located the " better part " of the herd with that one, AL. The " better part " is not different from the ordinary parts, except for one feature - it's never visited, and there is no established population there. The reason it's never visited, is because (take your pick) either the car always runs out of gas, or the train always runs out of track (I prefer the latter.) The reason there is no established population there, is because it doesn't exist, as a " place " quite yet - at least until some continuous visitation starts occurring, and even then, there can never be an established population there, because " there " is only room for " one " at a time... as soon as " he " leaves, the place reverts to it's original virginity. Aha, you mean " better part " in a positive way. I was using that to describe a place we are made to believe is positive, but that is in fact a prison. There are no facts here, no things here, only finger-pointing, and not taking yourself so damn seriously, lest you actually BECOME a zombie - using my definition, not yours or someone else's. If I was to be so crass, and crude, as to " answer " your direct questions, I would then be criticized by the nay-sayers - including you - who would have found fault with my answers, so I repeat the above paragraph. But, know this, one can KNOW what one is talking about, and UNDERSTAND what one means by the words he USES - as distinct a situation from not understanding a damn thing, because the words are using him! Nay saying is unnecessary here. Please provide the answer. It does not matter what is thought. There will no critique. No damning or condemning. Nothing can harm here in this place except that which is created in the appearance being used as it is. What words can harm? What concepts can hurt knowing. Also, please refrain from imagining what could be given with a question. There is no taking seriously, only curiosity as it is. It is understood about the words using. Please answer. Be used.
