Guest guest
Fear is your enemy and that enemy is you. See clearly, with utter conviction that fear is in you. You are afraid of yourself, aren't you? (I have stolen this line from Vernon Howard Isn't that horrible? Isn't that devastating? From fear to freedom is the road you must take. Don't allow that false enemy inside you to tell you what your life is. Don't let that false enemy feed on nerdy TV news or soup operas. Celebrities are looking polished on the outside but where is the peace? Where is the true confidence? Where is the lack of fear of ridicule, to not meet expectations, to fail being a success? Don't look for confidence in that morass. Don't let a social structure built on fear guide you. Don't fight the windmills of an immature society. Grow up into spiritual maturity! NOW! )))))) /AL

A chicken hearted animal looking for a way out of Reality with fancy words like " Spiritual' or 'Enlightenment' Its silly and pitiful. Get some pills for your fear of Reality...philosophy is failing you all in a big way. If there is no fear then go jump in front of a bus! Alot here are in denial of thier true natural essence. It is not fear that prevents someone from jumping in front of a bus. Much to learn you still have.

It is fear, I mean to call it fear seems very appropriate. Yet, there are different kinds of fear, and it is the psychological fear which causes plenty of unnecessary trouble. Fysical fear results in immediate action, and stops when the danger is gone, psychological fear is practically constantly working on the background, without direct danger. One can be free from psychological fear while the body reflex will still protect him from jumping in front of a bus. Fysical fear is a form of body intelligence, psychological fear is protecting an illusion of " self " , which is not necessary to stay alive and which certainly prevents happiness. The fear of losing money is related to the fear created during billion of years making the organism protecting itself. I don't think that psychological fear can be separated from physical fear. They are two aspects of the same mechanism of conflict, and the root is always bodily fears. Fear is what _makes_ a person jump in front of a bus. Harmony is what prevents a person from acting in conflict. /AL

In which is it different from any other protective mechanism? > I don't think that psychological fear > can be separated from physical fear. They are two aspects of the same > mechanism of conflict, and the root is always bodily fears. True. Yet, bodily fear ends at the moment the danger is gone. Thought replaying the memories and getting more and more scared of itself, continues the illusion of danger even if it isn't there. Psychological fear starts when the actual, factual danger and the need for direct action ends. > Fear is what _makes_ a person jump in front of a bus. Psychological fear can have such consequences, yes. > Harmony is what > prevents a person from acting in conflict. To me harmony simply means the absence of conflict. When there is no conflict there is no need to prevent it. Len

When an organism functions in complete harmony with its environment, including other organisms, there is no need to prevent conflict, because conflict is then simply not present. /AL
