Ok, Leo. This is a hint. But my question was what is your experience of choice? Or, what is choice? Choice may depend on those items listed and a definition or pointer will help to make it clear what you mean to say. For example, you say, Awareness… No thoughts… Reaction…. Choice… Clarity… It is with everything. My experience can go with this model, except I do not experience " choice " whatever you mean by that. For me, " choice " is something added, extra, not undergone in experience. So that is why I asked you for your experience of it, and barring that, a definition of it. Maybe I experience " choice, " maybe not. It seems my reaction or response is all that there is in an experience that calls me to act and it seems there is no other way but to do as I am. You may experience differently, Leo and so for you is choice an act of will, desire or volition? Is it simply the outcome of a reaction? Is it conscious and free choosing or selecting among alternatives? Is it a forced selection or choosing among alternatives? Is it a biological adaptive mechanism without consciousness? Is it simple sensation or illusion that gives the impression of freely choosing or selecting? Is it simple sensation or illusion that gives the impression of not freely choosing or selecting? Is is any of these in combination? Or is none of them. There are many doors, Leo. Which one or another not here do you walk through? Guest guest
Hi Lewis, First, " no thoughts " and " awareness " meant that in " the conditioned by language thinking " there is a danger to sink into the wordy part before reaching the place which you could built only by yourself intimately, as the final creator/interpreter of own tools and the only translator/adapter of the external language. then the choice (of tools) depends on each case and what looks/feels (for you) more efficient here. Love to all, Leo
