Guest guest
The now can be a mere concept or a pointer to direct contact with life. Such is the now that it is here where the rubber of life meets the road of reality. Your mental and emotional images of past and future are only ideas about life. As ideas they are parts of life, but they are only IDEAS. Extreme anger, hatred, boredom, frustration, irritation about something, a feeling of unease in social situations, a fear of not living up to one's own expectations... These states - even though they easily can make your life become a living hell - are all only IDEAS. When the flow of life meets these ideas, a second-hand life is formed that blinds you from the truth. What truth? That you are a slave. Like everone else you were born into bondage........into a prison you cannot see, touch or smell.........a prison for your mind. /AL

Is this idea you propose maybe thought creating another distinction where there is not one? Joe

The words are maybe true from a certain perspective, but there is no penetrating the deeper core of the present moment. The now is more solid and deeper than any ideas. One has to KNOW the direct contact with the now. One has to SEE it directly. /AL

Some people tell me there is a treasure hidden somewhere in the now, and a few of them even claim to have a map pinpointing the location for this treasure. You have found the now, can you inform me if you also have found the treasure? Do you have this map I have heard of? Allegedly the map has been handed down from an ancient source to selected indvididuals who have carried this secret up to the present day. /AL

That is why it is a secret. It is written in transparent ink on the retina of one of your eyeballs. It points to the Treasure of the real Now on the other retina. What is in the treasure chest is a map pointing to the other eye ball. You find a lot of treasure this way!! Just look at all the treasure you have!!
