How can we know what is true intelligence and what is not? Simple.

Extremely simple. When you feel good, then isn't that real, profoundly

true intelligence at work? I am not talking about feeling relatively

good, but absolutely good.

Somewhere between two opposites lies the truth, ever moving. What

posting? Are you living in the past, dear Werner (the writer writes

with a malicious tremor in his voice [well, typing :])

Some of the chemicals that I was addicted to for years .....made me feel

absolutely good.

Is that what you mean?

If you really would have felt absolutely good, you would still feel

absolutely good. The light from a flashlight is not the same as the

light from the sun which is not the same as the light from true peace.

Al,

Feeling good in not an indicator of spiritual growth.

It is as biologically implanted as the amoeba's affinity for light.

It is a simple seek or avoid response...that life uses to enhance its own

chances for

physical survival.

The purpose of life is to feel good. Not the superficial good feeling

we get from taking drugs or winning a million dollars on lottery, not

that kind of shallow peace over a seed that is still burdened by

unease deep down, but the true peace that goes into the depths of the

unmanifested.
