How many times have you ended before? How many times are you ending in the future? How many times are you ending right now? Does the name matter, which is given to " me " (Joe, Dan, Gladys, Pips) at the moment of the me's death, at the moment the body expires? What is it like to live here, now, at this moment of death, of no name? The body is still breathing, but nonetheless is dying each instant. Another way to say this, is that one understands clearly, that the body's apparent continuity is conceptual - which may seem contradictory to the common sense notion that physicality exists as held locations for discrete things and beings. But common sense is an attempt to anchor a group-think in shared assumptions and concepts - bodily continuity as self being one of the most basic to humans, held transculturally. -- Dan
