I am the prison from which I am trying to escape. My various strategies (for security, avoidance, refuge, to find an ideal) are all that constitute " me " -- I am the tensioning of the escape attempts, the pretenses at having security, having everything be fine, or getting to someplace where everything will be fine. The " me " of my identity, is only what can be constituted around the activity of avoidance, separation -- a conglomeration of feelings, memory images, ideals, actions, hopes, fears held together only by the perceived need to hold together as self (based on neurological programming and social reinforcement). -- Dan
