People don't want to lose what they think they have, particularly themselves, but often, their idea that they can escape themselves as well. They think they have and are something, so they think they can possess or escape. It can be scary to look into the truth that one never had anything of one's own in the first place, which could be kept or escaped from. People don't want to lose what they think they have, particularly themselves, but often, their idea that they can escape themselves as well. They think they have and are something, so they think they can possess or escape. It can be scary to look into the truth that one never had anything of one's own in the first place, which could be kept or escaped from.
