The observer is the observed

When you are trapped in an egoic view, then the observer is the

observed. When you are free from the ego then there is only observation.

There is no one who is trapped in egoic view and there is no one who

will be free of it. There is only thought. To be trapped in thought

is again a thought and to be free of thought is too a thought.

The observer, observation and the observed are the same. Which means

there never was an observer and never the observed. It is just

thought which draws an artificial borderline between those.

The " observer " is the trap pointed to by your Master.

I am trapped in an egoic view. I can feel it. I don't have to think

about it.

Anders,

It is only thought which thinks to be trapped. And it only can think

that because it was fed with material about being trapped, as by

spiritual books. Similarily the church first feeds you with material

about sin and then it sells you how to be free from it.

But nevertheless there is no one who is trapped, it is just thought

playing its movie " I am trapped " and its " struggle " for liberation.

And this movie can appear pretty dramatic but in reality no one is

trapped, it is just a thought movie.

And because no one is trapped, no one can get liberated.

But yet in some way liberation is possible, the liberation from the

pain and stress thought is causing through effort. But this release

from the pain of effort only oocurs when thought is fed up with it.

As long as thought thinks suffering is the price to pay for

achieving, for attaining or for liberation then that feeling of being

trapped will go on.

The ending of effort is the beginning of freedom.

Yes, this effort part is clearly not freedom. Effort to go where? Does

the universe really need effort to hold itself together? And is it

" me " _AND_ " the universe " , even " me " _AGAINST_ the universe??? Where

does that phony separation come from?

Then in your terminology there is thought of one who is trapped... and

thought of someone who will be free...

>The observer, observation and the observed are the same. Which means

>there never was an observer and never the observed. It is just

So, then there was thought of observer and thought of the observed.

Besides you call it " thoughts " ... what is the difference, other than

the attribute " thought " added to the word? If everything is thought:

what is the difference between an " observer " and the " thought of an

observer " ?

Hey Werner, You should eat meat! You would be stronger. Eating

vegetables all day long won't help you much in your sadhana. :-)

Just pulling your leg, Werner. Just kidding!
