Does anyone know what Nisargadatta's stance on diet was? Ramana

Mahrshi advocated an sattva diet to help keep the mind clear, but I

have never heard Nisargadatta's opinion on the matter.

I prefer the diet of placebo. When you know in your mind that

everything you find to be good is good, then a pizza can be good for

you, even though the regular dietist would go into orbit at the

slightest mentioning of this possibility. :)

** this is correct. the body is intelligent & capable of

extracting what it needs from what it receives. the mind however

feels differently, " it " thinks: " this is fattening " , or " this is bad

for me " , or some other. you are what you concentrate on.

om peace!..

We modern people have a tendency to see the body as a " thing " and the

intellect as a smart device for regulating this " thing " it calls its

body. But there is no balance in such view. And the evidence of this

unbalance is overwhelming in modern society.
