Guest guest
There are many things in life that can awake one's anger. But looking at what is happening, enemies are born and sustained withing a personal sphere of limitation. If we look within - have you looked within - then enemies reside in us, not only out there. What would happen if our inner enemies would become integrated as a part of oneself instead of as something to fight? What would happen to all those outer enemies? Maybe they will still be there. Maybe they will still be vicious creatures of the night. But we don't know what will become of our outer enemies once we find peace within, until we do find peace within. /AL
Guest guest
Taking a pot filled with colored glass perls then stirring it and voila: Anders has created another masterpiece ! And this stirring and presenting goes on and on and on .... Werner Nisargadatta , " anders_lindman " <anders_lindman> wrote: > > There are many things in life that can awake one's anger. We have to celebrate thinking as well as pure being. As Alan Watts said: there are prickly things, and squiggly things. The intellect is exceedingly apt at handling prickly things, profoundly so. The human mind can take the briefest glanze at a poster with a movie star on it and immediately recognize the face of that actor. Such computing power! Then there is the squiggly part of existence the human mind has a bit more problem with, and many brave souls reach out to that level through devotion to God, in many forms, through many religions. /AL > > > Nisargadatta , " anders_lindman " > <anders_lindman> wrote: > > > > There are many things in life that can awake one's anger. Guest guest
Ha Anders, Not scoring you ? Ok, the annoying thing is not your constant thinking but your constant presenting every little fart to the public. But how to stop those annoying glass perls presents you feel forced to offer to the public as long as you see them as precious jewels ? Is it kind of intellectual narcism, or maybe megalomania, or just overestimating your intellect's products ? You remind me of my little 7 years old boy sometimes bringing me as a present a small piece of paper on which he drew some lines accross, presenting it to me with shiny eyes and telling that it represents some powerful spell which I have to carry with me because it is very useful when evil creatures are landing here with a space-ship. Tell me Anders, when you have been a little boy did you ever got the chance also to present such powerful presents to your parents as my boy did ? You say " we have to celebrate thinking " , but you are not celebrating, nor are you thinking. That is what is being mocked, your >>belief<< that you are " celebrating thinking " , while only putting forth beliefs, opinions. You talk about " enemies within " without even realizing what you are talking about! Your biggest enemy, is your (and most everybody's) propensity to take >>believing<< for >>thinking<< and your (and everybody's) inability to distinguish between the two. If you >>really<< want to " celebrate " thinking (as opposed to believing, which you - and everybody - are already quite adept at), work with the following " challenge " for 24 hours BEFORE replying (as, I know, is your wont to do... you know, >>over-react<<): Discuss, at length, the DIFFERENCE (in humans) between Thinking, and Believing, and comment on why it is, that you, AL (and everybody else) can not distinguish the difference in realtime, and how it is that humans (and you, AL) take *believing*, for *thinking*. Remember, AL, 24 hours!

Don't try to make a pig sing. It will make you struggle and it will irritate the pig. > > You remind me of my little 7 years old boy sometimes bringing me as a > present a small piece of paper on which he drew some lines accross, > presenting it to me with shiny eyes and telling that it represents > some powerful spell which I have to carry with me because it is very > useful when evil creatures are landing here with a space-ship. Ok. Yeah. Mocking is perhaps a better word in this case. Malicious mocking. ))) > > You say " we have to celebrate thinking " , but you are not celebrating, > nor are you thinking. Sense of realtime is related to gravity. Sensation of time is small compared to full awareness of gravity. 24 hours is a _belief_ in your mind. Timeless reality will dawn on you if your gregorian mental calendar is remodelled. /AL
