Guest guest
L: >Are you mad Pete? Are you a lunatic? Guilty, on both counts, but never fear. I enjoy being that way. I get tick when people try to sell me a goat for a cow. What you said below in quotations is a gross distortion of Lorber’s case study: L: “Perhaps you read about a college student (and now others) years ago who had no detectable brain. This student just had a thin lining of cerebral cells about 1 millimeter thick due to hydrocephalus and he functioned as well as everyone else, graduating college with honors in mathematics. This student and about 600 men and women who had little or almost no brain.†P: Lets say you misunderstood, and are not trying to foist a falsehood, but the fact is these people had a compressed cerebrum, which is not the whole brain, but the outermost layer 4 or 5 mm., commonly referred as gray matter. That in these individuals the cells where compressed to a thickness of 1 millimeter doesn't mean this people had hardly any brain matter. That only proves the great plasticity of the brain. Lewis, all sort of university professors make wacky claims all the time. None of that should be believed until widely accepted by the scientific community. Do you teach, Lewis? Do you do research? What do you do for a living? Have you published any books, papers? Are your professional opinions respected by your peers?
