I know that the Nazz said " God is Love, " but if Ramana also said it, I would really like to know where, so I can look it up. Not that I'm a doubting Thomasananda. I hope he did say it, b/c it seems to me that if I have realized ANYTHING in this bitter sweet incarnation is that, if anything, God is love. Odi's right. Some of you people out there aren't really getting it. But I forgive you. What else can a humble seeker do, after all?

In any event, way before Nis. and R.M. was St. John, who declared that God is love. See the 1st letter of John. 1John, chapter 4 verse 8 and repeated in verse 16. " God is love, and he [she] who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him [her]. G.R.R.: So, is your defintion of love forgiveness? If that's the case I can win that hands down. I forgave a sexual assault perp but only after I came to an understanding of why it happened. I forgave my parents for abusing me (long story, my dad was an alcoholic and my mom was a victim doormat who expected me to be too.) I even forgive my 2 brothers who deemed me as the family scapegoat and decided that I was guilty for my mom's death (my mom's inability to face her own problems created her own death and I refused to be her scapegoat.) Aaaaah, forgiveness, it's a powerful emotion and can be quite liberating from the experiences we embrace as real. What else can a humble seeker do, after all? On the other hand, my definition of this experience called " me " is *no* determined by weather or not these board members " think " I'm loving enough to be part of the elite " guru " group or how they judge me to fit into a category (or not fit into a category) created by their own definitions of such.
