Guest guest
Brain dead, non-ambulatory, can't speak, yet those close to her are quite adamant in their belief that she is *more* than still alive, she is *responsive*. How can they be so, what's the right word here... STUPID!?! Yes, they love her. Yes, they care about her. Yes, yes, yes. But, their only arguments to keep her alive - beyond what most thinking humans would believe tolerable (though, in her state, she can't tell what's going on anyway) - is based upon an utter, bald-faced, lie. She is no longer even human - when the brain is dead, and the brain is where thinking occurs - the human is dead. The body is not dead, of course, and they can keep it alive for many more decades, hell, possibly even centuries, but Terry died a long time ago. So why are there SOOOOO MANY PEOPLE fighting over her? Now, the Congress has gotten into the act - by subpoenaing her, they effectively inhibit anyone from unhooking her feeding tube. What a flagrant abuse of power, and that's EXACTLY what it is, from the parents, and the husband, to the Florida state legistlature, the Florida Governor, and now the Congress. It is a power struggle, between the more dominant and the less dominant, the more powerful and the less powerful. And not a one of them - not one human being amongst them - is controlling the events unfolding today. They are all quite caught up in the waveform, and their thought processes are merely verbalizing which part of the wave each believes he is located. There is a real power behind all of this, and then there are faux/apparent powers that are embodied in various human lifeforms strutting their stuff in public, and then there are the truly powerless - us, the rest of the world - who have no part in this... except by commenting about it... ad nauseum. There is a real and definite connection between events and human talk about events, and the movement of energy between the dominant and submissive (thoughts) is the dance that movement plays out in our heads.
