Dear Pete,

 

Thanks for the insight into one of your many mental problems. When I

first started reading your posts I thought you were a fairly clever

young man for your age (55 to 70) Then, as I read more I started

asking myself: why is this young man so ignorant? Why is he

always trying to make himself look smarter at the expense of others?

Is he not getting laid? Does he have some deformity? What is his

problem?

 

Then I realized, it's his advanced AGE - yup, that's it. Not enough

crossword puzzles in his younger days, so the gray parts have gone

all gooey.

 

Pete has lost the ability to discuss IDEAS, and can only attack the

man bringing the IDEAS.

 

Smart people speak of ideas.

Normal people speak of events.

Dumb people speak of other people.

I guess even dumber people speak only of themselves.

 

Hey, petey-boy: you don't like someone (you incorrectly believe is)

putting down the whole human race, because you identify yourself with

humans. That's your own inadequacy. Get OVER it!

 

And because you're way too dense to " get the joke " the first time,

I'll repeat it again, just for you. I NEVER TALK ABOUT humans, but

about the thoughts that come out the mouths of humans. Big

difference. I do put down the whole human output of thoughts - in

that (slightly different spin), you are quite correct.

Pete: Thanks, Bob. Wow! am I glad I was wrong, and I can now reinstate

you in the human loving, sexually active, normal looking, reasonably sane,

people I admire column. But, help me understand your position better.

You still think your thoughts and method of thinking are superior

to that of the rest of mankind, no? What is it that is exactly different

in the way you think? What outstanding example of this thinking

can you give us? From whom did you learn to think that way?

Has this way of thinking make you happier than

the average Joe? How is the life you lead superior? Are you more loving,

easy to get alone with, more fun to be with, are people knocking at

your door demanding your attention? In other words, give us a few

reasons to want to think and be like you. So far, calling others names

and calling their ideas stupid doesn't seem to be working that well.
