Guest guest
If my dog was as " responsive " as Terry Schiavo - forced to stay in his bed 24-7-365, with a feeding tube shoved into his belly, totally unable to even recognize me, let alone realize fleas are biting him top to bottom - I would consider it an act of kindness to allow him to join his ancestors, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for god sakes. How can a person believe he is " wise " , " moral " , " just " to keep a human in such a similar position for one day longer than necessary, while recoiling in absolute horror (as those " wise " , " moral " , " just " sub-humans surely do/would) to the prospect of being forced to live that way, himself? People are NOT the same, that is obvious, and some believe the idea of " soul " or " spirit " or some such nonsense is a relevant term to bring into this conversation... but really? Perhaps, if such people were more " clear of mind " - as opposed to clouded by obscurities - they'd readily know what to do, and just do it. ps- Terry is not the issue here, euthanasia is not the issue here, none of the external events unfolding hour by hour are EVER the issue. What is going on between your OWN ears, as you participate in the world-dream, is what is at issue. pps- and don't imagine for one millisecond you are beyond it, or above it, because you are enlightened, seeking enlightenment, or more evolved than the rest of humanity - jeez. How strange! Even Hollywood seems to evolve! KA

" Mar Adentro (The Sea Inside) " is absolutely amazing, and very sensitively and exquisitely brings to fore these deep issues about euthanasia, never mind the rushes that the cinematography provides. Amenabar wrote, directed, produced and created the beautiful musical score for this film, which I don't think is directly related with Hollywood, it is more Independent Spirit, even though it has been recognized by Hollywood. How could it not be? ~freyja

How could it not be? Yes! " The Sea Inside " is an interesting translation. " Mar adentro " means actually offshore, high seas or open sea in Castilian. What we have here in English is a word-by-word translation: " Mar = Sea, Adentro = inside. " Nevertheless, I like the English translation more than the original title. Can it be true? ) Cordially, Kip:Almazy

The human body is made of over 50% space. ;-) /AL > > > > Cordially, > > Kip:Almazy > > > Cordials by which to toast > with are just as sweet > by any other name.
