I really don't know who almaas is. I think that was the first thing I have read of her/his. But I can recognize a description of home because the cosmic nomad who rides this camel called Pete has been there. The Bedouin hardly gives his camel rest. Nevertheless, the camel's eye is always drifting homeward. And it's beneath you to object to a few pronouns. Pete the incorrigible camel. It is said clearly throughout the quote. Here is Almaas' take: " For close to twenty years now, Being has been continually revealing to me its many facets and dimensions, always in spontaneous and unexpected revelations. This has transformed my consciousness and life in ways I never dreamed of, and led me to states of realization I never imagined existed. Into revelations Pete or are you just enamored with the word absence and did not see the dreaded " I " and " my " and " myself, " the sense or identity of a permanent self/Self? Have you been converted? Or are those mornings of pure perception followed by panic loosening your grip on there being no self/Self. That is not home for me Pete, not knowing what " home " is or could be and not being able to stop potentialities from popping continuously, you know, unable to arrive at, or to arrive at, both or neither as it goes. :-) No objection to pronouns they are very useful structures for getting things done. And yes the descriptions sans identity claims are very familiar. Just poking ribs Pete and also it is good to know that underlying his descriptions there is a teaching/theory and method. Almaas has created an elaborate psychoanalytic/psychological/spiritual syncretism drawn from Freud, Sufism, Gurdjieff, Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism and others. It is a large load of conceptual entities and process that he integrates in various and sundry ways for therapeutic purposes that he calls the Diamond Approach. To get an idea of it visit his site at: http://www.ahalmaas.com/essence/diamond_approach.htm and check out his glossary of terms. They give a quick look into the buildling blocks of his approach and how he tries to integrate them. http://www.ahalmaas.com/glossary/index.htm Lewis
