The True Subject

When you buy a car, then you are the subject and the car is the

object. But it's not a true subject, it's really an object taken as

being a subject. The one who you think you are will always be a

collection of thoughts, a subject which really is an object.

 

This phony subject is what creates conflict in you. It creates a split

or splinter in your mind. Another name for that phony subject is the

ego. Please see that both the ego and the world are phenomena. There

is only conflict within phenomena because of a split in your mind.

 

The true subject is that which is aware of both the ego and the rest

of the world. It is always there, has always been there. Without the

true subject there would be no experiences, no you at all. The true

subject is not separate from anything. By a removal of the splinter in

your mind you too will cease to be separate from the world.
