Guest guest
She: " Gee, that sky is an extraordinarily magical blend of colors this evening, isn't it dear? He: " The accumulation of particles in the air in that part of the sky, are mixed with a certain variety of elements - both natural and man-made - due to the time of day, and the part of the planet we are standing right now (the longitude and latitude), such that they are allowing only certain frequencies of the light waves to pass through them, while filtering out the rest, resulting in the colors we see, and... " She: " STOP! Geez! Well dear, that sorta takes all the mystery out of it doesn't it? " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Many, if not most people would rather NOT know what's going on - not only with physical matters - illustrated by the excerpt above - but, more especially with intangible matters, including their own apparent " psychology " (in quotes for a reason), because they can then remain enamored, in awe, and quite fascinated with the " mysteries " (in quotes for a reason) of being alive, and that " feeling of mystery " (of NOT knowing) is more pleasurable to them, than the " sense of Knowing " (capitalized for a reason). People can be distinguished from one another, by how much remains mysterious to them, as usually evidenced by their stated (apparent) understanding regarding what is, and is not (for them) mysterious. The general, common belief is that the MORE mysterious is the world, the more spiritual, religious, mystical one is, whereas, just the opposite is in fact true. The more mystery there is - for you - about the world and yourself, the less spiritual you are, as the element of Knowing and Certainty is absent. These aspects can not be left behind in the quest for Truth, which is the mystical/religious/spiritual quest.

Confusion/anxiety can be soothed by taking on the trappings of 'mystery.' That little pill called 'avoidance.'
