Guest guest
Everybody knows that whatever they've experienced, possibly even from before birth, but at least sometime thereafter, is in memory, and if something is in memory, it can - though not always easily - be recalled, re- " experienced " in consciousness. For example: (and you can play along too...) I'm intentionally recalling that day/hour/minute when I received my first bike, a Schwinn Corvette with chrome fenders, and handlebar streamers, and rode it to my best friend's house, to show it and myself off to him, only to be snubbed by his total lack of interest... " Ho, hum, big deal, look at what I got! " I " remember " that. I feel absolutely CERTAIN it happened to me, and in that way. But, there is a monster-fly in the ointment, I'm not positive of every detail, it's a literal kluge. Now, did you know that there are things in memory, that you did NOT experience? And when they are intentionally or accidentally recalled, some sort of subjective re- " experiencing " occurs, leaving you believing that it's your own " personal " experience? What this suggests, is that humanity is " seeded " , with knowledge, and experience, which they themselves did NOT participate in initially - someone did, some " thing " did, but not you... not you. There is a kernel in there (in where? DNA/RNA most likely), which is the species memory, from the earliest human times, " post ape " , and the conscious part of the brain is the link to that kernel. Unfortunately (or fortunately, your mileage will most definitely vary), the link is tenous at best, and broken at worst - thus needing either to be re-established, or re-connected to be of any useful value - and only a person who, first, discovers this linkage, and second nurtures this connection, can ever hope to make permanent use of it. What if there is only now, and that everything we call the past is actually 'created' now, in a process we can call instant evolution. Check out: http://www.platonia.com/ al.
