Nisargadatta (from " I am That " )

I am now 74 years old. And yet I feel that I am an infant. I feel

clearly that in spite of all the changes I am a child. My Guru told

me: that child, which is you even now, is your real self (swarupa). Go

back to that state of pure being, where the 'I am' is still in its

purity before it got contaminated with 'this I am' or 'that I am'.

Your burden is of false self-identifications -- abandon them all. My

Guru told me -- 'Trust me. I tell you; you are divine. Take it as the

absolute truth. Your joy is divine, your suffering is divine too. All

comes from God. Remember it always. You are God, your will alone is

done'. I did believe him and soon realised how wonderfully true and

accurate were his words. I did not condition my mind by thinking: 'I

am God, I am wonderful, I am beyond'. I simply followed his

instruction which was to focus the mind on pure being 'I am', and stay

in it. I used to sit for hours together, with, nothing but the 'I am'

in my mind and soon peace and joy and a deep all-embracing love became

my normal state. In it all disappeared -- myself, my Guru, the life I

lived, the world around me. Only peace remained and unfathomable

silence.

sam: there are those on this list who refute this, saying they are

dual and separate from 'god'. The source Is/Serves the dual state, so

it's all good - all part of the dream time.

There is only you, you big non-you !

A not-so-clever trick to perpetuate the dualistic thought process,

by going back to the fact that none of it is existent. Yes, it's

not real. Yes, it's a dream. Whata's your point.

My cat is dying and lays in my arms as I type. Is it real? No. Are

the tears that fall from my eyes real right now real? No.

Is there a point? Rather than debating the real/non-real endless

debate can you debate if there is a point? Your debate takes you

into the perpetual dualism becuz if you got into the point (which

you insist no one can know) this toombaru would

die/change/rearrange into something [that would be just as non.]Your

words only serve to perpetuate that which you claim is not 'real'.

signing off now, going to kiss a non-cat.

Sounds like somebody's in denial.

You never responded to my last post to you (#22140). Is that because

you don't exist?

Hi, Stefan:

I don't think it gets much plainer than that. Here's another:

" Know yourself to be the changeless witness of the changeful mind.

That is enough. "

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Thanks.

Within the cat-shaped.......empty aching...is a door into the fullness.

Tears will make this gift disappear....but it will return again and

again......until you take it

inside.

Pete,

Whatever was said... did not originate from within an autonomous entity.

It was....and continues to be... the only available reactional response that

could have occured.

Talking heads Pete.....just talikng heads.

This is experienced.....or not.

If you ever become aware of This.......... " Your " world will evaporate.....

Oh Pete.

" You " did not write anything.

Writing happens.....within the edgeless flow.....a " youness " emerges....from

within the writing....sparkles for a while....in its own memory.....and then

evaporates.....back into the river.

Dear Sam:

The love you feel for " friend " is the Self expression of love itself.

All is love. Your " friend " is not going anywhere. She may be shedding

this flesh-bound vessel, but, the love is unchanged, unmoved. In the I

AM awareness, you and " friend " have never been apart, can never be

apart. Consider yourself blessed to have had a friend like that. She

is showing you the Way (she is Guru). Those tears are perfectly

natural. My own eyes are watering from reading your post. Let it be.

Yours,

fuzzie

Hi, toombaru:

Are you still obsessed with people in other people's dreams???

What can I say? I mean... God love ya, Toombaru, but, I don't know

what else to tell you. You can't seem to get beyond that.

Just hang in there. Everything's gonna be alright.

Yours,

fuzzie
