Most people don't.

But do you think that keeps them from piling on their shinola, layer

by layer, and then polishing it, and buffing it until it gleams - at

least in their own eyes? " A real piece of work, if'n I don't say so

myself, and... insightful too! "

How can you tell if a person knows their own shit from shinola?

Just ask them, but not in a politically correct way, " Sir, do you

know what you're talking about? " , but in a politically INCORRECT way,

" Sir, you're full of shit - in fact, you don't know shit from

shinola! "

Then, watch their reaction, as it always comes - quickly - so if you

don't like being punched out or verbally abused, you best stand back

a bit. Their reaction is everything, it explains everything, except

to themselves.

When they start explaining themselves - as they are usually compelled

to do - they reveal the depth of their confusion. It's simply one of

the Laws of the Cartoon World - all cartoon characters, whose thought

bubbles appear out of nowhere, MUST, under all circumstances, explain

their " reasoning " behind their bubbled utterance. In fact, any

cartoon character that has the " wherewithal " to resist that

overwhelming push-from-the-rear to explain, runs the real risk of

being extincted from the funny pages. (But, the " Laws " being what

they are, this can't happen, never happens, except with the much more

rare SuperHeroes, who generally NEVER explain themselves - they don't

have to, being Laws unto themselves, thus are never extincted; that,

being just a bit of Cartoon Justice.)

So, do YOU know shit from shinola?

Speak up, sir, we can't hear you.

Shit is the past and that shit is real. Shinola is the future, and

that shit is unreal. Don't you know anything?
