Guest guest
When Gary Falk (Mr Enlightenment) wrote something about sticking to (various people including 'cadillac charle') a red flag came up over here ... After being a 'seeker' for over 30 years, despite many great 'experiences,' I was NO closer to the fabled 'enlightenment' that seemed to be promised if one just worked hard enough and long enough. I tried it all, most of it twice. Finally, As I was sitting around last fall (2004), suffering deeply and actually trying to figure out how to kill myself painlessly, some Grace inside made me re-start a practice that I had learnt but had not been 'doing.' This is a sort of “non-meditation” called “The Ishayas’ Ascension.” I started sitting two or three times a day for a few minutes, AND practicing the Eyes-Open-In-Activity 'way' as well. This eyes-open practice was incredibly rewarding, right off the bat. So I continued it, and a whole new awakening began. This led to conversations with a number of very cool people, most notably Tony Parsons, John Wheeler, Leo Hartong, Joan Tollifson and Gilbert Schultz, all of whom are connected to Sri Nisragadatta Maharaj. And then, in April of 2005 I met Sri Nisargadatta's student Dr. Stephen Wolinsky, via his DVD called " I am That I am " ... and the search for 'spiritual answers' ended. All that remains 'now' is a gentle, persistent wondering, withought thoughts, emotions, associations, memories, perceptions, who or what am I? And insights appear from 'time to time' ... i.e all there is si, " just " I am " , then, not even that " BUT: Lets be clear.I am not a " non-duality Teacher. " As our Friend John Wheeler has pointed out, " The last thing the world needs is yet another bullshit advaita teacher. " In my 'story' I am a former Professional Racer and Reiki Teacher, and a Cadillac Salesman. I love Cadillacs! I drive one, a CTS. I am also a writer ... and a Racing Sponsorship Marketing 'coach.' And, I must add that, after imbibng non-duality to whatever degree I have, that being with people is incredibly joyful now. Mind you, everything I just said here is also a story. In Truth I am, as you are, no thing no where at all. Which is everything everywhere. But that is another story! (A Love Story!)
