Guest guest
Emotions like guilt and shame have a very " unconscious " energy field. They act more like instincts than acts of personal will. Your conscious awareness is in conflict with these lower emotions because it operates from a level of knowing. You actually don't know why you feel guilt and shame other than surface explanations. If you had full knowledge of why you feel shame when you clearly can see that it is a negative emotion, would you then need/choose to feel it? Guilt and shame are needed as a regulating factor for your thinking. Without this regulation, your mind would spin away into all sorts of mischiefs. However, when you know this, then your knowledge can begin to replace these unconscious lower emotions. There is conflict in you between your thinking mind and these lower emotions because your thinking mind is trying to run faster than your subconscious can allow. This conflict is experienced as something negative because evolution/nature/God must push your in the right direction as mildly as possible: hence guilt and shame arise in you. al.
