Q: Why is Niz turning over in his grave?

A: He read the posts on a list dedicated to his teaching.

As for what I'm talking about, I'm not talking about

anything.

You either know this directly, in which case

you know exactly, precisely, that not a thing or

quality is involved, and you know without involving a knower or

known.

If you know without anything known, it's like taking off

a heavy overcoat.

If not, you have the feeling the overcoat is you,

it's the reality you take for how things are.

Maybe you call your overcoat " awareness " or maybe

you call it " my life. "

It doesn't matter.

If it falls off (it never got started, never

happened in the first place),

then, and only then (now), you know what

never began and has never been spoken of.

Why would 'Dan' say " Nisargadatta is turning over in his grave " ?

What Nisargadatta is and spoke of can not be found in any grave, so to

speak....

Why put quotes around " Dan " and not " Nisargadatta " ?

" Nisaragatta " was no more this unspeakable truth than " Dan. "

What he spoke were words, and those words don't give what isn't

contained by words -- and never will.

What Nisaragadatta was is dead, buried, and decomposed,

although I do hear him groaning every time his teaching is

taken at its most superficial aspect.

:-)

And indeed, truth isn't found in a grave.

And any word misunderstood as a means to represent the unspeakable

nature you are -- becomes a grave.

Treat words as vanishing phantoms in the mist, or as ripples

in running water that are gone as spoken. Treat your

self and Self as ripples in running water, and treat

being and iam the same way.

The itself being known, and the self knowing,

I like *this* better that i am this, because it doesn't add in an I

that is being this.

And the only reason to use a word like *this* is because human

beings communicate using words. Other than that, it has

no purpose, says nothing, adds nothing.

When we use words, we assume someone to read and associate

a meaning with the symbol.

So, by providing words, delusions can be reinforced.

However, if we stay silent, the silence is discounted,

and delusions persist.

Sometimes, the excuse is made that a thorn is being provided

to remove a thorn. Yet, truth has nothing outside, from

whence a thorn could be lodged, and no one residing inside,

who could be damaged by a thorn.

So, that excuse for using words and concepts is useless. :-)

I guess one can say that human beings communicate with words

due to the design of the human being - like birds sing and

frogs croak.

Well, in the end, we all croak.

:-)

Hi, Dan:

So, you don't exist and you're not talking about anything. Is that

what you're talking about? Is that what you mean to say?

:)

Yours,

Fuzzy

P.S. I hope Pedsie's not getting mad, again. He doesn't like it when

too many non-existent people get on here and talk about nothing.

sam: Your perception is that Nis is unhappily turning over in his

grave as he reads these posts? Nope, sorry to disappoint you Dan.

This is your own constructed idea based on your own views of right and

wrong.

I was dancing with him just last week and he wasn't upset with it at

all. Quite to the contrary he sees it as a modern computerized way of

understanding. He was always quite into the idea of understanding and

still is.

I said I heard him groan, not that he was unhappy or upset.

He's not.

Niz wasn't into ideas.

And now that the Niz body is decomposed, he's

even less into ideas.

But have fun with your dancing. Far be it from me

to interfere.

Good point.

It's all dispersed before it began.

sam: Your perception is that Nis is unhappily turning over in his

grave as he reads these posts? Nope, sorry to disappoint you Dan.

This is your own constructed idea based on your own views of right and

wrong.

I was dancing with him just last week and he wasn't upset with it at

all. Quite to the contrary he sees it as a modern computerized way of

understanding. He was always quite into the idea of understanding and

still is.

sam -- for and on behalf of the I that is Nis >:^)

You go girl!!!!! rocking with you rocking with Nis :))
