I went from western religion to Joel Goldsmith's non-duality form of teaching when I was 16. Looking for my purpose and trying to please the gods was endless and exhausting. Finally, I came to understand the very same thing you worded above. Just be. Kind of like a Calvin Klein perfume commercial eh? Just be. There's no real need to know or do anything. Just be here and that is enough. that was it, and it didn't take a guru dressed in robes or a priest or clergyman to tell me this - I was already it; doing it; being it all along. it got pretty much blown away like so much dust in the wind. If there was any purpose it is taking care of itself without my thinking or wondering about it. Just being is enough.
