Letting it die may not only feel unwise and foolish but, it might also feel ... irresponsible, unkind and inhuman! Here people talk about taking care of the planet, the humanity, the civilization, the cosmos ... and, here you are Not willing to take care of the 'me' who seems totally dependent on Just You ! ....it feels so uncompassionate ! The concern about " I " or " me " or the making up of these or the defending of these or any concern about knowing these remotely or not or some other concern are of no particular use to the billions or even the millions. This advice has been repeated over the centuries without ceasing. The origins of these words, the people and places, are filled with suffering and ignorance and means little to them except to those fascinated with it and centered in these words somehow twirl continuously in it as it is. It spreads. The world and all its billions of little " I-s " and " me-s " will continue to flourish and pass on regardless of these words and all those like it. The few twirlers are a species, a type, like a squirrel, bird, fish, insect or bacterium and serve their role among the billions. See them twirl. Do they see the twirling species? Can the twirlers see they are twirling in a niche while others do what they do. Being afraid is part of living. Each deals with it as it comes. Suffering is the same. Joy or happiness or bliss, whatever comes and goes and so... Knowing those words, being them, becoming them does not change what life is or alter what is or what you are. Breathing, sleeping, eating, drinking, excreting, waking, covering the body, moving about, going here to there and back and around, doing this and that to survive, sitting, resting, continues and most of a lifetime is spent doing these simple things. Twirling on is just one part of the flourishing and passing. Some make money on it. Most just twirl. The " I " and " me " never leaves. It is natural. Look at the " I-s " and " me-s " here. There is one and another and another. Not one is missing. Exterminating or loosing or releasing " I " and " me " or whatever doing that can be called is just on more way for an appearance to pass time. Twirling like this must be pleasant.
