Guest guest
Hi Eman, Beware ! I did that self-inquiry thingy yesterday but it got so boring that I decided better to watch the snooker world championship on tv. But, I've read some of your posts. You're funny. About the inquiry thing: It aint for everybody. You gotta be like obsessive/compulsive about it, or, it won't work. Both Ramana and Nisargadatta attested to that. It's gotta become like a 24/7 obsession. It's not a leisurely meditation practice or anything, like, " Oh, well, reckon I'll do some self-inquiry for a half hour this evening; yep, that's what'll do, yepper " . It aint like that. Since I got like this addictive personality, it worked for me. For people who are more mainstream, they should do a bhakti thing or go get a hug from the Amma Mama or something. I don't know. Whatever. It doesn't make any difference one way or the other, does it? Alright, then. Yours, fuzzie
Guest guest
Hi Fuzzie, No, we hadn't any exchange til now, you are welcome. Ok, let me tell you that I am acquainted with that vichara background. But you know, Ramana never did it himself he just popped with 16 into realization - without it. And in the follwing years he pondered what he could tell all those ambitious and curious visitors which were so bored with their life and so he invented vichara. During the next 50 years no one succeeded with his tip but a lots of books were written about it which too weren't very successful. So, here we are. You are right, sometimes I am pretty funny. When I was young, girls loved me for being such funny but when I got older those ladies more and more interpreted it as sarcasm. Thats life ... Guest guest
Dear Werner: How did you come up with that synopsis? Did you make it up on your own or did you do research or what? How do you know in the last 50 years no one has " succeeded " (whatever that means) with Ramana's " tip " ? Did you do a survey? It must've been quite a vast undertaking, no? Just wondering, fuzzie Nisargadatta , " Werner Woehr " <wwoehr@p...> wrote: > Hi Fuzzie, > > No, we hadn't any exchange til now, you are welcome. > > Ok, let me tell you that I am acquainted with that vichara > background. For me well,I a have pretty compulsive personality also and after several years reading and thinking and trying not to think and not have desires well I was ready to call it quits but I couldnt.Over the last year the thought of " who am I " or Yes I am that were with me constantly From my first thought in the morning to my last thoughts at night and I was not realy trying to do this it was just happening.Next come a couple of painful experiences. In the end of febuary one of my young employees and friend lost his battle with cancer and died on his couch at his apartment while his 3 year old son was laying on the floor wrapped in his sleeping bag watching scoobie doo.Very sad. The next week my dog and best friend of 6 years went kill crazy and I had to put him down. All the time this " who am I " and I know I am that were with me constantly. Another week and Im sitting on the computer reading some advaita stuff when I read the lines I have read many times before that You are awake and this is it and this moment is all there ever is and it hit me like a ton of bricks. All I can say is there is no more being anxiouse and I see wonder in everything and I dont know anything at all and every moment is special. There realy is nothing to do as it just happens and we can just enjoy the show called life. Enjoy this now, Cobb............ > >
