Guest guest Posted April 29, 2005 Report Share Posted April 29, 2005 " God " , " All " is a Strange Concept ... If by God you mean " reality " , If by God you mean ... " what is " ! It was a certain concept when few people imagined God as a 'limited' 'person' having great powers and taking many decision. In this 'imagination', God had a 'fixed' personality. There were certain things that it liked and certain things that it just hated. In this 'imagination', God was something you can do business with ...you give him this and this God will give you that. You could even talk / pray to this God and request it to kill somebody ! ....and, people did pray to this God to kill someone ! Sometimes, they even took upon themselves to carry out the God's task and killed many people who were not doing the things that priests said this God wanted them to do ! This was a God that took sides - My people and Your People ! It was much like the head of a Republican ( or Democrat ) party - you are either with us or Against us ! This God was like a president only difference was that it had greatly more power, it tenure never ended, it was 'permanently fixed', it Never had any change of mood or preferences - what it liked two thousand years ago is what it also liked today ! Further, this God never Slept and ---- it was Always Watching ! It endowed you with all the capacity to sin, to err, to do 'bad' things --- then, it kept watching if and when you would screw up !!! Good thing was that it kept sending messenger from time to time to tell you what is that it really wanted from you ---- and, what it would give you in the return !
