Guest guest
Audience ---------- Is it not the Advaita doctrine to become one with God? Ramana --------- Where is becoming? The thinker is all the while the Real. He ultimately realises the fact. Sometimes we forget our identities, as in sleep and dreams. But God is perpetual consciousness. Mail - You care about security. Guest guest
Seems it was a stupid X-tian audience poor Rama had to address with words they are used to. But do you really believe that Ramana was the least impressed by some fucking god created by human fantasies, by human slaves needing crutches ? Here is Ramana on " God " : M: SOUL AND GOD ARE ONLY MENTAL CONCEPTIONS. D.: Is God only a mental conception? M: YES. Do you think of God in sleep? D.: Meditation of the God of Immanence is hard to understand. M: Leave God alone. Hold your Self. . D.: How is God to be seen? M: Within. If the mind is turned inward God manifests as inner consciousness. D.: God is in all- in all the objects we see around us. They say we should see God in all of them. M: God is in all and in the seer. Where else can God be seen? He cannot be found outside. He should be felt within. To see the objects, mind is necessary. To Conceive God In Them Is A Mental Operation. But that is not real. THE CONSCIOUSNESS WITHIN, PURGED OF THE MIND, IS FELT AS GOD. > > > Nisargadatta , Adithya K <adithya_comming> > wrote: > > > > Audience > > > > ---------- > > > > Is it not the Advaita doctrine to become one with God? > > > > > > > > > > > > Ramana > > > > --------- > > > > Where is becoming? > > > > The thinker is all the while the Real. > > > > He ultimately realises the fact. > > > > Sometimes we forget our identities, > > > > as in sleep and dreams. > > > > > > > > But God is perpetual consciousness. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Mail - You care about security. Guest guest
If someone needs the word " God " as motivator to move his ass, ok. Seems this " D: " was such a candiate. Reminds me of a child needing a candy to go to bed. Guest guest
Hi Gary, Can you translate this sentence ? I don't understand it. A problem I have with lots of your texts when you are using expression having their origin in your American background which is totally unknown to me. Many of your post for me are like Pitchin-English Werner Nisargadatta , " garyfalk1943 " <falkgw@h...> wrote: > Nisargadatta , " Werner Woehr " <wwoehr@p...> > wrote: > > If someone needs the word " God " as motivator to move his ass, ok. > > > > Seems this " D: " was such a candiate. Guest guest
Hi Toomb, If you see children starting to cross a street not realizing a car is coming, would you then sing that floating river song, or would you yell " Stop, stop, watch out !!! " ? And if you tell me now that you and your yelling too is part of the river then you have to give me and my post the same share, right ? Guest guest
Toomb, This " Every fart is God's fart " is also Balsekar's favorite excuse. I personally prefer the moderate version of Oliver Cromwell: " Put your trust in God, but keep your powder dry " . It is god that put the children in jeopardy....and god that will....or will not..... save them. toombaru Hey Toomey, I almost forgot I wanted to respond to this.)) A friend asked me, quite a few years, ago this: If a man is drowning, should I go in to save him or is it his Karma to drown? I answered (don't remember exactly...). Why would you be there ---if not to save 'drowning man'. What would happen next, well, who knows? She said 'that's what I thought " . a. ** If you do not wish to receive individual emails, to change your subscription, sign in with your ID and go to Edit My Groups: /mygroups?edit=1 Under the Message Delivery option, choose " No Email " for the Nisargadatta group and click on Save Changes.
