Guest guest
Life, maya, is exactly like a movie. That is the message of the Gita's " no doer. " Is this a coincidence? No, they are both pure unmitigated fiction. Compared to the Reality of Dreamless-sleep, Samadhi, life or maya is pure unmitigated fiction. Any word other than " fiction " for life, maya, makes the word Reality, Samadhi, even less meaningful than it has to be. The Reality or Samadhi of Dreamless-sleep is like an ocean of such unfathomable JOY that it makes the universe into not even an imaginary drop. Unlike thousands of years ago, we today have physics, and movies, that tells us the exact same story as does the Gita and Vedas. If " you " understand how dreams ( and movies) work then you know everything there is to know about Advaita. It is that simple. As far as questions and answers: it is all just a play of words. =-= The answers to questions are so simple that anyone can not only answer their own questions but laugh at the same time. Pretend you are in a dream and then you ask these questions, in your dream. In a dream you are the dreamer, the dreaming and everything in the dream. (Advaita 101) You ask the questions and so you want someone in your dream to answer them. But in a dream you are that someone – so go ahead and answer the questions as this someone. If you can understand how a dream works then for the first time in your life you can understand how absurd it is to ask questions so that you can then look for answers. It is so absurd that it is the Supreme Comedy called maya, life, living. It is absurd because the answer can make no difference. The answer can literally be anything because it can make no difference because the mind is what it thinks. The mind is what it thinks regardless of its questions and answers. (The mind is just thoughts over which there is no control -- just like the movie-characters on the movie screen have no control over their thoughts/actions. There can be no control of thoughts because " control " is just a thought. ) When it comes to asking questions, think of the child that responds to each answer it gets with always the same question: WHY? We, imaginary-doers, keep doing the same: How can we have particles in physics, for example, when there are no anti-particles? How can we have time and space when physics keep telling us there is no time? .... etc. Why does the universe expand as fast as the thoughts that keep creating, expanding, it? Does the mind make up the universe as it keeps thinking? -=- This JOKE of questions and answers is not new. Sages around the Indus River in India woke up to the futility of questions needing answers over five-thousand years about. These sages used meditation to study their thoughts. In this study some of them woke up to the way the mind worked: The mind is everything it thinks. These sages realized that the mind is always dreaming that it is awake. They could not explain this to egos, however, and so for egos, who could not understand the way their mind worked, these sages came up with the notion of a guru. Egos however could not understand this guru and so these sages came up with two different gurus. The inside guru and the outside guru. The ego, however, cannot understand the inner guru so it, the ego, has to project this inner-guru to the outside so that it, the mind, can then hopefully understand it, the outside-guru, and its answers. But in Reality all these gurus and intellects and experts are just the mind asking questions so that it can keep maya entertaining with the answers that can make no difference because the mind is what it thinks... regardless of gurus be they inner or outer, and their answers and questions. Questions and answers are just a play of words the movie called maya needs to be entertaining. Take the words " you " ask and answer seriously – in the fiction called maya -- and you turn life into the karma that maya needs to be entertaining, JOY. Take life to be a dream and it turns into the JOY called maya. When you take life to be a dream you are totally free and untouchable, just like Krishna, Buddha and Jesus; and then there are no more questions, only the JOY called maya. This JOY is the Self enjoying its entertainment – just like if it were a movie. the Supreme Joke, gp

Or a few lines of poetry by your hand. Or perhaps something described about that JOY you speak of in an event in your daily life? Or an example of how it feels to be totally free and untouchable? Something about your life in Maya. Lewis
