There is no way on gods earth anyone can control their thoughts any more than they can control the dreams they are going to have. The control of thoughts is an illusion, maya. Physics tells us exactly the same story with its particles-waves-probability clouds. (The Uncertainty Principle) So all the thoughts we get are uncontrollable and since every action we think we take is the result of thoughts they are also uncontrollable. This Advaita is really, really simple – so simple, in fact, that there is no mind simple enough to understand it. Thus I echo: " The seeker is he who is in search of himself. " It's all just a game in which the Self plays hide and seek with itself through its imaginary egos. Maya, life, is pure Joy if the ego doesn't get involved, and if it does get involved, then all it can do is generate the karma that maya needs to be entertaining.
