Guest guest
Namaste,IMHO, What most people prefer is sentimental emotion, attachment or Pollyanna--get the video. Mostly it is the ego enjoying something, with the occasional selflessness. Real Love is an energy, it is the energy of creation, and we put our own colour on it. Fear and Excitement are the same energy. Kundalini in a temple and the enthusiasm of a football crowd are the same thing. Ultimately Love is Savikalpa Samandhi and is therefore unreal. Nirguna knows no 'Love' as such..........ONS..Tony.

Actually Tonmeister, Love is the nothing, no-thing out of which all arisings come from and return to.... It's the glue that holds This together... This stuff of dreams... Prana---Easwara. This is a Saguna concept and is alright. Maharaj used to sing Bahjans, do Arthi and do all kinds of ritual devotion and that's alright also. He must have used that Sadhana to achieve his realisation. He didn't talk of Nir Guna for there is nothing to say or teach. I may sound like I harp a bit on Nir Guna but I also, play and sing Bhajans, and do other ritual stuff, including mantras and prayers etc. For my lower self loves the habit and ritual and it is part of my Sadhana. Even the energy that I feel in pre meditation, which some would call Kundalina, I try to ignore. And Yes I sometimes have feeling of Bliss on returning from Meditation or Sushupti. These are all part of my Sadhana but I know they are all ultimately unreal but a thorn can remove a thorn sometimes. Yes I feel love and give love just like anybody else, and I feel sad when a jiva leaves or dies whether it is a pet or a person. Yes I like the touch of a dog or a child as well. These are all part of the samskaras and vasanas of being human, and pleasing and joyous attachments. In the end they and even the bliss have to given up.........ONS..Tony. In the end as in the Dylan Thomas Poem: Rage, Rage against the dying of the Light. And as my mother was dying, I saw the process of giving up all the attachments and the bittersweet goodbyes of the loves of her life, one of which is me....the scent of white lilacs in the air, the sun shining on her face, the garden that she lovingly tendered, the touch of her velvet curtains, she died as her favorite opera aria was playing....a man calling out from prison.... The degree of suffering is directly proportional to the amount of identification with physicality. toombaru

The degree of suffering is directly proportional to the amount of identification with physicality. toombaru My Sweet Toombaru, Perhaps we have not yet been down this road. So we shall walk together. Suffering is the result of being separate. From oneself, from the 'other' from a cherished desire. Physicality is this beautiful Gift of Life, unasked for and unknown. It is what allows one to dream, to taste a mango, to touch a child's face, to make love with the other, to love another, to 'see the face of God in the 'other'. It is also the bane of the separated ego of One to kill, maime, hurt, scorn, villify, destroy the 'other' who is unlike itself as well as its surroundings of earth, water and air, without knowing that even as this is being done, the coffin is ever ready-made. As there is no doer, just the 'doing' the balance in this is called 'enlightenment' or realizing This in its entirety.... Identification with separation ceases and love is known in This, as This. Their is great joy. There is grief, or at least a sense of sadness. Perhaps as a result from finding This. Coming Home. A nostalgia remembered....
