When, left on its own, it merely repeats the 'habits' and 'conditioning' already in place. More it repeats, generally stronger that habit and conditioning tends to get. At smaller and more 'verifiable' level, you can see it at the level of someone quitting the habit of smoking, drinking, coffee, sugar, TV serials, " news " or ...even abusive behavior, violent anger, self esteem, negative thinking ...procrastination ! All these habits are usually formed by repeating them over and over ... Once the habit is formed, ...it seems to have become " totally ingrained " , it seems to have become an integral part of you! In fact, you identify with and you even begin to think, this is who I am --- I am smoker, I have self esteem, I am negative, I am lazy ! You even begin to think, ...
