Guest guest
Does the spark plug helps the carburetor? Yes, you can put it that way, or not. You can say, they both are parts which work together. In an engine as in codependent origination, no part is more essential than the other. Ultimately, the notion of help is tied up to the notion of free will. We think we have the option to help or not. Of course, we don't. No matter what we do it's part of the functioning of the whole. The teacher, the guru, even the Avatar teach, and is taught in return. Disciples not only teach the teacher how to teach, they also define the teacher. What we know today of Christ, and Buddha is what their disciple thought was relevant. Even in the case of Nis, we know him mainly in the words of a few disciples. So who helps who, or what is help, but the behavior of the whole masquerading as its parts?
