Guest guest
Over five-thousand years ago sages around the Indus River in India used meditation to study their thoughts. With this study they Realized that the mind is what it thinks. They then studied their dreams and compared them to the mortal-dream we call life. They then also Realized that it, life, was just another dream. They would call this " other " dream, life, illusion, fiction, with the word " maya. " When they compared their sleep-dreams to this maya they Realized that if their sleep-dreams were " real " then their maya was ALWAYS more UNREAL, or SURREAL. Or, if their dreams were fiction then maya was a super-fiction. From this study of thoughts they would hand down to us the study- philosophy-theology of non-duality: the mind is what it thinks. They would call this non-duality the not-two of Advaita. They would also give us the long ago forgotten FIRST LAW OF MAYA. Until NOW this First Law of Maya has been buried deep in a hidden crevice in the very foundation of what we call our information-age. MAYA'S FIRST LAW: If our sleep-dreams are real to the mind then maya has to always be unreal, or SURREAL. (If our sleep-dreams are fiction then the mortal-dream called maya is a super-fiction.) This first LAW of MAYA then gave them their Second LAW. The Second Law of MAYA. The further dreams/fiction get from Reality (Samadhi, physics' Unified Field ) the more surreal they get. -=- More than anything else, this First Law of Maya should convince even the most feeble minds that something is wrong with the " reality " of the mortal-dream called life when it, maya, is always more surreal than our sleep-dreams. I mean who on earth could have surreal dreams about a civilization that is technologically so advanced that all its opulence, greed, technology, decadence and tyranny has to FORCE the starving masses into such hopeless desperation, starvation, disease, pollution and poverty that the only way these starving masses can fight the GLUT of opulence, technology, decadence and tyranny is by becoming suicide-bombers. I mean who could ever have a dream that is so surreal that TWO planes fly into two buildings so they can thus IMPLODE ( " pull " ) THREE buildings; like the TWIN TOWERS plus WTC 7. Watch the news: does anyone ever have dreams as surreal as what the News routinely and systematically gives/feeds us for our maya? I mean who could possibly have a sleep-dream about timeless-light that without time cannot move and yet it moves so fast that it keeps everything else stationary. I mean who could have a dream about a universe with no middle only a periphery that is accelerating faster than the thoughts that create/feed it. I mean who could ever have sleep-dreams about voids, like quantums, that particles have to routinely pass through in such a way that they never EVER enter these voids, quantums. I mean who could dream about a universe that exists only because it does not have the anti-particles it needs to exist so that it can then not-exist. -=- There is a story that is now long forgotten. In this story the Realization of this First Law of Maya actually catapulted a sage into Samadhi that left ABSOLUTELY NO doubts about either this first or second law of fiction, maya. -- thoughts for NOW
