Guest guest
I love the old Taoist works. Here is a line from the book of Balance and harmony. To sense and comprehend after action is not worthy of being called comprehension. To accomplish after striving is not worthy of being called accomplishment. To know after seeing is not worthy of being called knowing. These three are far from the way of sensing and response. Indeed, to be able to do something before it exists, sense something before it becomes active, see something before it sprouts, are three abilities that develop interdependently. Then nothing is sensed but is comprehended, nothing is undertaken without response, nowhere does one go without benefit. Sun Tzu in the art of war also demonstrates balance and harmony in this line; " Those who are skilled in combat do not become angered, those who are skilled at winning do not become afraid. Thus the wise win before they fight, while the ignorant fight to win " . And a more current line from Moller de la Rouvieres book " Spirituality without God " " We are born Non-dual, with the potential to have this revealed in our ordinary living. However, having acquired a false sense of duality through the uninspected use of certain of our faculties, this revelation generally does not take place. When through recognition and correct forms of practice we re-establish this inherent Non-dual functionality within ourselves , it becomes self-evident that fragmentation was a mere illusion, and that wholeness has been the nature of our living reality all along. Only in the Reality of this Truth are we alive to the deep joy of what it means to be truly, Non- dualistically, human. Good stuff dont you think? I see the way inside of every human.Nothing mystical or secretive about it realy. Our non dual nature is the way, and we are the path.Just look within yourself. One thing though,it does not come easy.Self inquiry is more than just saying " who am I? " . Self inquiry is about seeing the illusion of who we think we are versus who we are and doing right practice. These masters who speak of the way spent many years in self inquiry to be able to speak of these things. This is the end of suffering spoken of by the Buddha. Stay the path for that is the way my friends. Keep cookin, Doug............
