Guest guest
Being is continuous. Thoughts are discontinuous. Realise It. That is your true nature, simple Being, free from thoughts. http://www.geocities.com/nanyar/being.html

The " me " wants to continue. So it projects some continuous thing, like 'being,' or 'god,' or 'consciousness,' or whatever. Something that can be reassuring as that which continues on and on. Thus, the graspingness which is " me " can continue, too. And so, the religious, spiritual " project " gains momentum across the centuries. So that " me " can continue in some fashion, even if it has had to face that other kinds of continuity come to an end (wealth, health, pleasure, status). That last thing that " me " wants is to be face to face with its own discontinuity. That is can get something neither from continuing nor from ending. Anything that begins, ends. Including any ideas about, or experiences of ... being, god, truth, love. This is the transitory nature of all thought, feeling, belief, and experience. Impermanence. It is the limitation of anything to do with self or Self. -- Dan
