Guest guest
I am a good self (that can " feel " guilt) And a bad self (that can recklessly lay waste to time) The good comes out in full force After I allow the bad his due. The bad comes out in full force After I allow the good his due. Where does the good " go " when the bad is in control? Where does the bad " go " when the good is in control? HOW DO " I " KNOW THE DIFFERENCE? When I allow the bad, in full —extreme good immediately asserts itself (creative, swimming-upstream attention) When I allow the good, in full —extreme bad immediately asserts itself (drifting downstream attention) The bad prepares the way for the good by releasing it of any " have to's " . That is, swimming-upstream attention is freed by the bad to go to what it wants (not to what it " should " ). The good takes the bad to new heights from which to fall; prepares the way for the bad, and gives it a whole new lease. I maintain a tight struggle between good and bad which generates a constant " gray " state, neither black nor white; neither awake nor dreaming; neither dark nor bright. Constant twilight. I fear the out-of-my-control motion of good-changing-to-bad-changing- to-good-etc that, like the ever changing weather, happens anyway. Just as I have built a " house " to protect myself from the raw forse of the weather, I have constructed an " identity " to protect myself from the raw forse of internal change. A result of this " protection " has been to make me weak. I am as likely to receive fresh insight when bad changes to good as when good changes to bad Fresh insight is what I live for
