P: OK, you admit you need to escape, but how do you know about everyone else? Is it not this belief that everyone does, a justification, a validation of your need to escape? Everybody " escapes " ; we watch TV, go to the movie, read novels, daydream, write and read stuff in forums like this one. This is distraction, and nobody is " globally aware " all the time. Actually, being aware from time to time would be quite a lot. I'm just pointing out that your daydream of global awareness with no need to escape is itself an escape, however - a tricky one. Thinking too much about global awareness can make one lose all touch with reality. Len

Guest guest
if a thought is the only reality we got than it is reality. Or is some thought more real than another. Only in holding the paradox can I be still. (Which I admit is not often) I have heard stillness talked about as awareness of actions thoughts, yet it is for me not that not that something all together different? More than full attention or consciences of all around not that not that....... It is like all the bounds of history, labels, walls, birth, death break down and for a moment are gone. It's a richness an or well. About Movies I went to the theater to see American Beauty when it came out....Wow what an awakening it rolled over me so much more than many life situations. It was all there all my desires playing out on this huge screen all the anger all the lust all the.........and than the watcher of the bag. No escape there it changed me, yet it is also true most movies are a distraction from my own inner turmoil. Maybe each person must look at there own reason for the net, for the movies, for the shopping, for the collecting ................avoidance attachment or just being.
