Guest guest
The only good that comes from celibacy is that we don't add to the overload of humans this world carries. Other than that, it serves no purpose, and trying to be pure (which is the etymological root of the word: castitatem in Latin) only adds conflict to the already conflicted mind of a seeker. No doubt, not having children is the most significant sacrifice one can make to help the world, but medical science has given us the means to render that service without renouncing sex. Another services are: not to own a car, and not to over consume. If we are really spiritual, we ought not to foul the world with our offspring, or refuse. Otherwise, we are just pigs with spiritual pretensions. Happy fathers day! )
