Guest guest
Q: Why is it so difficult to wake up? I'm interested in exactly what this natural state entails. A: Awareness is what you are. Awareness is your natural state. Do you see these words now? Are you aware of seeing these words right now? Is awareness difficult? You are this awareness. Waking up is simply the recognition that you are awareness, and that Jim and his life story is a dream. It's the thinking, questioning, and struggling for answers that's difficult. These are all just functions of the mind, and the mind is not the source of peace. This is much easier than you could possibly imagine. If you're finding it difficult, then you're paying attention to thoughts, ideas, feelings (mind stuff) and not the simplicity of your own being - the peace that is your natural state, your essence as awareness. Within the question is the assumption of a separate entity.........a separate entity that is asleep.....a separate entity that can somehow wake up through its own efforts. Guest guest
Stephen, Awareness is its content. When the content is gone then awareness too is gone. Contents are constantly changing and so does awareness. Which of all those content is you ? Please remember that there is no such a thing as a mirror (awareness) which is waiting for objectss to reflect them - a myth which is very old but false. Awareness and content is the same. Your whole philosophy of " you are awareness " is false and utter nonsense. Werner Nisargadatta , " Stephen Wingate " <stephenwingate11> wrote: > > Q: Why is it so difficult to wake up?
