Guest guest
Hi Anna, Its the first time I was reading some lines of Moeller, I didn't know him before. I can imagine that he will impress with his pseudo humanistic-phliosophical way a special brand of clients who also want to be attractive members of upper class sophistication. Guest guest
Hi Pete, Is this Moller at the moment the latest trend ? Do I have to like him in order not to get outed or is ok to feel utterly bored by him ? You should leave the first bite to the trend setters and wait for the remainder. Len
Guest guest
Yes Lori, Thanks for your wise words. My reply to Pete indeed was the expression of my greed to march in front of Moellerian trend setters and also of my fear to miss the trend and to become a lonesome outsider. P: I doubt he will become a trend, he is too obvious for the smart seeker, and too dry for those attracted by fine feelings and metaphors. In that long boring manifesto he just danced around these wooden poles: 1) Humans need intention to act volitional. He takes a whole paragraph to say that. Duh! Who didn't know that? 2) Humans has no instincts to achieve human goals, so they need intentions to focus their mental faculties. What a revelation? Nobel prize material! 3) Intentions are not incompatible with letting go. Letting go of what? 4) Prioritizing is essential for effective action. Another piece of big news. 5) Know your desires. Good advise, but not news 6) Thought is thought. There are no spiritual thoughts. He could have added desires are desires, and spiritual desires although needed at the beginning become a hindrance along the way. But that has been said often too. 7) Finally, he concludes people believe intention are ego created and the desire of letting go is not. And so he leave us with this jewel below as if it will solve all our problems: " I am not suggesting there is something intrinsically wrong with thought. But when we start to believe that one thought is more valuable than another, we may become vulnerable to mistaking the projections of thought for reality, and then divide ourselves up into a never-ending series of inner conflict. Zen rightly points out that right and wrong is a sickness of the mind. This statement is dangerous, but true. Correctly understood it sets us free from the error of believing the moral high's and low's of our thinking, and taking these as absolute guidelines for practical living. The discernment in this regard asks for careful and real conscious self- observation. But when grasped correctly, this has great freeing value. We will then no longer ask ourselves how to resolve the `conflict' between intention and letting-go. The question itself falls away through insight into that which creates these apparent opposites. " There, W, I sliced the baloney for you. Have a slice. > W: Do I have to like him > in order not to get outed or is ok to feel utterly bored by him ? > > Werner P: No one gets outed here. Hur doesn't believe in outing. And the only way you can get outed from my lists, is if you will start quoting Moller on a daily basis. ) > > > Nisargadatta , Pete S <pedsie4@e...> wrote: >> Big words filled with hot air ... >> >> What a baloney. >> >> Werner >> >> P Welcome back, W! >> We need your baloney slicing >> expertise.
